Before it was even painted, inside or out, the addition to our house designed by Debra Wroe of Local Concepts produced this spontaneous evaluation from Neal, our across-the-street neighbor: ‘It’s magical’. We agree with Neal. Having chosen Debra to be our designer/architect because of (a) what we’d seen of her earlier designs and environmental-awareness awards, because of (b) her knowledge of local builders and city regulations, and (c) the trust her attentiveness to our wishes inspired, we have, almost as a bonus, benefited from her aesthetic vision and artistry.
She guided our project through a jungle of permit requirements and regulations and introduced us to two builders whose work she knew, one of whom was an excellent choice for our project. But it is the charm and practicality of the addition that we will notice with pleasure for years to come. Our new space is innovative, comfortable, and beautiful. Ascot I used Debra from Local concepts to convert my old post war home to a modern entertainment house. I was chasing a clean fresh feel which would not date quickly, open plan living and a deck you could use for hot summer days and a cold frothy beer. Debra listened to my wants and thought outside the square to deliver a complete project well above my expectations.
